Reasons can range but it is important that you put in place a strategy to help get this overcome and in a timely manner. Performance meetings are important. This helps to place a bar of standard that is expected and measure where the employee is currently at. Because these meetings involve higher management, it immediately gets them working harder because they are going to be told where they need to improve, and no one wants to be told that they are doing a bad job. Encouraging your staff through reward programmes is important. Some work best when they know they need to reach a certain point and when they do, they will receive something for their hard work. Being productive and increasing performance is not only about the work that is produced. It is about keeping your staff happy and understanding that they are an asset and important to the company.
